Saw TRAGEDY: a tragedy this evening and according to the BerkeleyRep web site:
“Will Eno is a Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation,” proclaims the New York Times,..."
The production was pretty good, but there were annoying parts when purposefully disturbing feedback was supposed to come into play. And the houselights came on to create an uncomfortable fissure in the fourth wall...well it was more uninteresting to see so much of the audience than it was vertiginous or existentially nauseating...overall though there were passages of writing that were sweet beyond the confines of the play.
